Graduate opportunities

Dun & Bradstreet employ a number of graduates on an annual basis at various times throughout the year. We have three types of graduate roles: Business Analyst, Customer Service Consultant and Graduate Rotation.

Business Analyst

Working within a team of fellow professionals, you will assist our clients make more informed decisions by gathering business information through telephone interviews with key decision-makers from a diverse range of companies, and then managing work flows to ensure the timely delivery of quality reports to your customers.

Customer Service Consultant

As a Dun & Bradstreet Customer Service Consultant you will be responsible for speaking with a range of Dun & Bradstreet Customers over the telephone and assisting them with their enquiries. Key to this position will be your communication skills and desire to take ownership of a problem and follow through with a workable solution.

Graduate Rotation Program

The Dun & Bradstreet Graduate Rotation Program consists of three six-month rotations through different roles in the business. This could include operational roles in any one of our 5 business units. All associates on the graduate rotation program complete their third rotation in the role of Business Analyst.

To be successful as a graduate at Dun & Bradstreet in any of the above three roles you will have a degree-level qualification, a demonstrable desire to have a career in business and solid work experience gained throughout your time at University. You will also be able to demonstrate your excellent verbal communication skills, strong service orientation, focus on achieving performance targets, resilience, tenacity and quality orientation, and sound PC skills.

 

Sales

In our Sales Organisation, you'll work directly with existing and potential customers to generate new business, as well as develop and manage the customer relationship. A tertiary qualification in business or a related field will be well-regarded and excellent planning, communication, organisational and analytical skills are essential. Proven Sales ability, an understanding of business technology and experience in consultative, business-to-business Sales are preferred.

 

Information Technology

From e-commerce technologies and infrastructures to mainframe and distributed architectures, technology is a driving force at D&B. A tertiary qualification in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline will be well-regarded, and strong analytical and problem solving skills and a sense of initiative and customer service are essential.

 

Finance

Our opportunities in Finance range from entry level clerical roles, to professional accounting positions. Candidates must have a tertiary qualification in finance, accounting or a related field, and possess strong mathematical aptitude and excellent analytical and PC skills.

 

Collections

In our Receivables Management Services (RMS) and Receivables Management Outsourcing (RMO) businesses, our associates help our customer maximise cash flow by optimising the receivables cycle.

This involves speaking with debtors on the telephone to recover outstanding accounts, via daily negotiation with debtors, with the intent of finalising payments of outstanding accounts and organising payment arrangements.

Our Collections associates need to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills, have experience in a call centre/customer care environment and be highly results driven. They also demonstrate strong negotiation and communication skills, coupled with enthusiasm, confidence and assertiveness, and the ability to build and maintain rapport with clients.

 

Operations

Our Operations areas range across our Business Marketing Services (BMS) and the Consumer Credit Bureau (CCB).

In BMS, data acquisition and the fulfilment of requests for information are key components of our Operations area. Fulfilment associates use their analytical, investigative, and technical skills to analyse data for our files, produce a wide variety of customised products and offer data solutions to our customers.

In the CCB, our information associates are responsible for ensuring that all stakeholders receive exceptional and timely service, and are responsible for data verification, maintaining data integrity, ongoing data cleansing and administering the customer service processes associated with customers, consumers and team members.

 

Students

D&B is committed to supporting tertiary Students by providing 12-month industry-based learning (also called Co-Operative education) placements, and by providing a number of ongoing full time roles to graduates.

We also employ current Students in their final year of university on a part-time basis as Trainee Business Analysts. Working approximately 18 hours per week you will have an opportunity to develop real business skills whilst completing your tertiary qualifications.
