|
McConnell Seats, Australia's largest designer and manufacturer of transport seating, manages the entire manufacturing process in house - from the metal fabrication right through to the final trim. The family owned business is the preferred supplier to a number of Australian transport companies and it designed and manufactured the VLOCITY seat for the Bombardier-Victorian Fast Train project. Earlier this year it extended its premises to create in-house bus seat installation bays, allowing it to further expand its business. The business, which opened its doors more than 50 years ago, has grown significantly in recent years. Demand for the company's products has increased by 50% in three years and sales have risen 25% in the past 12 months. |
